Rain drops on clematis

A lovely overnight rain has made all the farmers smile but upset the plans of campers who seem to have all headed for town or further afield to Nelson.The only time we get bumper to bumper traffic for miles. Lots of fairs and events have had to be cancelled.
I took a back road and was soon home from a little jaunt. Spent a few minutes in between continuing showers getting raindrops.
The clematis is a rambler rather than a climber and spreads nicely over any bush nearby.
The garden has responded to the rain. I am sure everything has grown inches overnight.
Have spent a lot of the day catching up on the DNA genealogy programme.
