First Day of the Year

I like the idea of starting the New Year on the beach. It was cold on the walk out and strangely calm, silent and warmer on the walk back. Slow but nice walk. A good and memorable start to 2016.

The silhouetted figure in the distance is a friend. It was pretty bracing at this point! Wish I'd worn a hat. Next time . . .
