The LeVeque Tower
The LeVeque Tower is an art deco building in downtown Columbus...where I live. It was the tallest building in town from 1927-1974 when another high rise was built even larger than this building. It is 555 feet 6 inches tall. It is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. During the 1980's, the owners started lighting the towers in a multitude of colors depending on the time of year or what was going on at the time. Currently, it is lit up in red, white and blue in honor of Independence Day, a national holiday.
