Blip!
I started blipping on 22nd August 2009. Goretex and a number of other good friends had started blipping and so I decided to give it a go. I quite liked taking the occasional photograph but blip made me look up and down and realise the importance of light! Six plus years later I am still blipping and I will really miss it should I be no longer able to post pictures and keep a record of my day. Of course I can do that on FB or as a blog but what makes Blip special is the people - I follow a number of journals - it's been great to see Lallybroach's wee boy grow from being a tiny wee prem baby to a big strapping boy now. I'm enjoying watching the same thing happening to BabyCyclops. I love Molly the Gorgeous Collie and Tussock Tails, Barking, Trisha with Breagha, Ona with Bailey and all doggy blips. And my Tuesday highlight is the camels. I love that Chamberlainjohn loves my dog as much as I do! It's been great to watch great moments in history in a way that I wouldn't have believed possible - the elections through the eyes of Feorlean for example and I have interacted with Peter May and found out about how he approaches writing. Don't be offended if I haven't mentioned you in person - I love following you all and hearing from you! As a wee girl I loved getting letters. I think waking up to see if someone has left a comment has the same effect! I suppose more than anything it's the ordinariness of it all I like too - just an image capturing what people, whoever they are and wherever they are from, are doing on a given day. It's the stuff that makes the world go around - for me that is people, not money or power or status. I do hope Blip continues, it shines a light on and into many lives each day.
I've pledged. Happy New Year to you all and let's hope Blip continues.
