New Years Eve.

Not a good shot and definitely not an inspired shot but it was getting late.

For about 10 to 15 years we have had quiet New Year celebrations at home at first with the Mate and his late wife and now just the three of us.  The activities revolve round DVDs projected about 8 feet across on the wall.

I should point out this isn't just an evening watching a few DVDs it is an epic.  We start mid morning progress through the day eating and drinking as appropriate.  At some point in the early morning we go to bed in the morning Ash (The mates dog) gets taken for a run in the forest.

Then we start again until we have finished whatever DVDs we set out to watch.   This year it was a repeats year.  We watched Lord of the rings trilogy when they came out (1+ years ago)  so we are going for the three hobbit films and the LotR trilogy end to end.  Well with stops for meals sleep etc.
