Life from city to village

Chapel Allerton

This is a lovely area, not too far from me - where I went yesterday to have some lunch with friends. No where fancy, just a coffee shop, but it was lovely to have a couple of hours out of the house - and away from the clean up.

I follow the north east Scottish tradition of cleaning the entire house before the bells, and finishing what can reasonably be finished. I don't do what my ex mother in law did, and throw away half used shampoo etc..., nor do I get rid of books not finished. But I try to ensure broken things are fixed, socks are united or disposed etc... Today was largely cleaning cupboards out and filling charity bags. Five bags taken down in total.
