Peace, Love and Harmony for 2016

Time for the last December blip challenge image. With this wintry scene I wish you all Happy New Year 2016 with peace, love and harmony. Even the world around us seems to got mad in many point of views, e.g. Middle East wars, Paris, terrorist attacks and the continuing refugee crisis has created a sense that the past year the world has been full of mayhem and violence, however in the big picture humankind has grown to better direction in 2015 than any year before that, so we are in good position for the future :-)

The average person lives now more safer, healthier, freer and richer life, points out  the American magazine The Atlantic.

The World Bank estimated in October that the proportion living in extreme poverty will fall this year for the first time less than a tenth of the world's population.

According to the UN more than halved the infant mortality rate in 1990-2015, making nearly seven million fewer children die each year in children under the age of five.

More and more children are in school. The UN says less than one in ten children remain today without basic training.

Deaths due to lack of food and epidemics are becoming rarer.

The proportion of undernourished people in the world's population has fallen below 19 per cent to almost 11 per cent since 1990.

Status of liberty the Freedom House identified 125 state electoral democracies based systems in 2014 - more than ever before and almost twice as much compared to 1989.

The world has gone a quarter of a century at all times for the better, says the United Nations Development Programme UNDP, which has assessed the human development since 1990. The indicators are life expectancy at birth, education, length or expected length and gross domestic product per capita.

Compared to 1990 people today is better to live in all 142 of the UNDP Tracked States with the exception of AIDS, weakened Swaziland.

Because of terrorist or wars in the number of deaths has really increased in recent years, mainly because of Syria's war. Due of wars and battles there still die far less people than in the 1970s and 1980s.

The Atlantic estimates that terrorism causes only the third one hundredth of a per cent of all deaths and calculates that it caused only 1.8 percent of all violence inflicted deaths in 2012, which is the World Health Organization and terrorism following the Global Terrorism Index, the latest convergent information.

The last climate summit in Paris, the world's nations signed the first, all the countries of a legally binding international climate agreement. It limits global warming, which has threatened to do many regions of the world unviable.
