Looking Towards a New Year
I liked this enigmatic figure standing at the end of the groynes on the beach at the bottom of our street. Obviously she is looking north whereas the New Year, when it comes, will presumably arrive from the east if it comes from any particular direction at all? The end of my fifth full year of blips. Will Blip last another year? The crowdsourced fundraising campaign seems to be slowly picking up steam, although I saw somewhere that rather than the end-date of the crowdsourcing effort, an earlier date in the middle of January is now critical in persuading the current owners that 'enough' funds will be raised in time. We shall have to see.
For myself it has been a year of lows and highs, much of which I have documented here on blip so I won't repeat myself and instead look forward rather than back. Best wishes to everyone out there and a "Happy New Year" for those for whom it is already here and a "Happy New Year, when it comes" for those of us still in the last hours of the old year.
