Driving home to Akureyri

My brother and sister-in-law were excellent hosts and we slept late, had breakfast and then a delicious surprise-lunch with my other brother and sister-in-law (both my brothers, Jóhann and Bjössi, live in Reykjavík).

Then we packed our stuff in the car and made a quick stop at one of the best bookstores in Iceland before starting our 5 hour journey to Akureyri.
The weather was strange all day, like so often in Iceland - either it was heavy rain or blaring sunlight! Just like in last August when I was driving home after the vacation we had in Copenhagen, Denmark.
