Cedric
During my brief trip home to my flat yesterday, I was able to take a quick tour of the shops down in the town. I'd seen these Champneys bears on sale in Boots before Christmas, but thought they were a bit expensive. Too hard to resist getting one now that they are on offer at half-price..... Mum has named him Cedric. No idea why!
My sister did her usual Wednesday visit today, and was helping Mum to change the bedding when I arrived back from my overnight stay at the flat. We popped along to the local cafe/restaurant for some lunch, which was very tasty and far too filling for me to clear the plate entirely. I'm spending more time than normal with Mum at the moment. Her right arm and hand are still painful and weak after her fall just before Christmas, so she needs a little assistance with things like preparing food etc. The fall has quite shaken her up, and she's lost her confidence a bit with walking around in the village at the moment. It's taken a lot out of her, but she's determined to soldier on and not let it affect her. I think she's amazing.
PS: That's it - I'm now up to date at last with my journal entries. The catch-up backblips start on Monday 14th December - do enjoy if you have the time to read through them.
