Sunset over Pensthorpe
M and I took dear friend B. to Pensthorpe Natural Park today, great café, great shop and plenty of wildlife and scenery to photograph. That combined with clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine made for a perfect day!
As you can see we stayed until dusk and enjoyed watching the sun sink low over the lake.
The red squirrels ( see extra) are part of a national breeding programme and are released into 'grey squirrel free zones', such a shame they are no longer widespread, such beautiful creatures with loads of character, such fun to watch.
The other extra is of a bearded tit, which apparently are not members of the tit family at all, but instead belonging to the 'reedling' family.
Apologies for my lack of commenting recently, thank you for all your comments and stars though...they are greatly appreciated.
