Here is Geddington Priory in the fading light on a miserable afternoon.

This shows the best and worse of life in England. Magnificent architecture in wonderful settings - the grounds slope down to the River Ise - and the bloody awful weather, made worse by the stubborn insistence on putting the clocks back every winter.

But hey ho, we are off back to France tomorrow morning, so I'll soon be Blipping the blue sky over the Mediterranean.
