Booka'd

For the first year since I started making my 50 books a year resolution, I have finally completed my task. However, I'm a bit irritated with myself for choosing Shantaram as book number 55, so close to the end of the year. As you can see from the bookmark, I'm still only half way through it, with only one day to go. I would give up but that would be a waste of 500 pages. And I could, of course, keep reading it well into the new year but...

I made things worse for myself today my spending my christmas Booka voucher on two books that I cannot wait to get started on. And, of course, there's my pile of Christmas books waiting for me at home.

The trials and tribulations of being a book lover.

SS and I are still hanging out at Groove Cottage. The fire is still warm and the fridge is still full and so the stay keeps extending. I thought that a lack of clean pants would give us reason to go home but the washing machine has seen to that. Looks like we'll be grooving into the New Year.
