Lake McGregor

On our last full day here we decided to do a 'proper' walk round Lake McGregor. The emphasis being on round! The other day when we stopped at Kelland Ponds we started walking round but realised that it was actually further than we thought and possibly not circular. (and no we didn't check this out beforehand!)
So today we set off in good faith but got perhaps 2/3 round when going started to get a bit hairy - for me at least. While I don't mind walking 'goat tracks' in the summer I am not all that keen when snow on the ground. The natural cushioning I have is fine but not for slipping on my arse. Spiked shoes would have been useful! Anyway I decided i was turning back.

I had spotted this shot on the initial stages of the walk but saved it until coming back. Played about with lots of settings to get the shot I wanted. Really should have used the tripod but hey ho. I like the effect
