Independence Day
Today was my favorite 4th that I can remember. Living Stones had a picnic in the early afternoon. It was really hot, but we played some volleyball and threw the frisbee around anyways. Food was really good. We spent more time talking about book group, so I didn't get to interact with everyone as much, but it's good to get deeper with us college guys.
In the evening, I saw Ted with some Indian guys. It was inappropriate at some points, but overall very funny. I've always been a Mark Wahlberg fan, and today I became an instant Mila Kunis fan too. Afterward, we ate out, so it was the first day in a long time I didn't eat a full meal at home.
I just saw the fireworks over the Detroit River on TV. Today is a time to set aside our differences and come together as a nation. I think of our Founding Fathers, their courage and dedication. Without them, this country would probably in a much different place. Let's all go out and change the world, whatever we do, do it to the best of our abilities.
Peace.
