Mad dogs and Englishmen.....

....out in the mid day sun. The beaches on Tawharanui Peninsula were crowded and although the mid day summer sun was blazing down I decided to go for a run out to the end of the peninsula. Actually not too bad across the tops, with a cooling breeze, the sound of skylarks in the air, and very few people around. Nice to have some quiet time to myself and enjoy the view through the flax to Little Barrier Island out in the Gulf. Then a nice, very "refreshing" swim back at the beach with the rest of the family afterwards.
