Garden Route Game Lodge

We had booked a game drive at the Garden Route Game Lodge so my sister would see some big African animals. It was a great ride, where we saw this elephant, lions and some antilopes. After the drive we had a delicious lunch, but then misfortune struck. I realized that I had lost the car key, a very fancy electronic card, which is like a sensor so one does not need to take it out to lock, it just beeps. It was in my pocket and now it was not there any more. It had of course slipped out on the bumpy road and as I sat on the top bench with nothing behind it must have fallen behind somewhere in the wilderness. If we had been in Iceland I would just have hitch-hiked home to get the spare key, but that is not an option in SA. Eventually we got a taxi from George that took us to Swellendam where we got the spare key which we then had to go back with to get the car back. 125km back and forth four times and 1700 Rand poorer we were safely home. The insurance refuses to pay the taxi and probably the new key too. What a scam those companies are.!
