the past ...

This blip based on a recent blip by Annie. It got me grubbing around in old boxes for old images on "old" paper.
It was nice to sift through these attempts at careful composition and exposure. Shuffling through the variety of odd sized photos, some clear, some grainy, enhanced the memories of the cold, the warmth, the fun, the pain, the confidence of youth as well as its insecurities.
For myself I'm not sure that in the future, swiping a finger over over an image on my tablet computer to present the next heavily edited image will have the same resonance as holding and experiencing a grainy colour or black and white 4 x 6.
