You could describe the Manchester United Old Trafford stadium as iconic.

I've been there today to measure the Greater Manchester Marathon.

It should have been finishing on Sir Matt Busby Way...

However, the club is concerned about potential terrorism and can't afford the risk.

I suppose blowing up Old Trafford might appeal to some people and it means a rethink on the finish line.

I'm now watching a true icon of football, David Beckham, on TV.

His goal was to play a game of football on every continent.
The wonderful thing is he's not doing it in the world's best stadia in the world.

It's all part of his UNICEF appeal. I'm not sure I'll get through the whole programme without shedding a tear or several...
