Two Tractor Tuesday...
Dry again,so took the chance to clear up the last of the barley off the shed floor and squirrel it away in a pile next to the bruised barley. Just the odd patch of sprouted stuff where the rain had been blowing in at the end of the shed.
Spent the rest of the day clearing up the big bales and plastic sheet that we had used to make the walls of the pile, then started to put up the calf creep where the barley had been. This is a pen where the wee calves can 'creep' through into while keeping the cows out. This lets them have extra feeding and a well bedded, dry place to lie away from their mothers if they want.
Looks like the forecast will be right,as the wind fairly picking up tonight with a lot of rain to come.
The Blip shows barley being loaded into the trailer with the Ford 550 digger, another old, but trusty machine.
