Shine like a diamond?!

In the middle of the night one of the five fire alarms we have on ceilings started to make a high squeaking sound.
Once and a while. Four or five times, very rarely. Which one?
I wonder it they are set up so that the battery alarm is always given in the middle of the night???
So I waited to the next squeak. Standing in the corridor. And the bloody contraptions were of course suddently all silent....
Back to sleep. 4am. Too awake, hard to get back into a dreamworld.

I was not too shiny diamond in the morning...

Holidays are over: early morning work day. There must somekind of a God, as I did not have to travel today, after hunting the squeaking fire alarms... In fact I realized that I did have my computer at home, which was marvellous news.
Needed only woolen socks, fleece trousers and a loose wool sweater, a cup of coffee - and I was in the business again via remote access. Just Great!

At home working thightly all 8 hours by the kitchen table. Some left overs for the quick lunch. And quess, what - there was NOT a single sound from any fire alarm.

After works in the evening I went out to photograph some snow flakes, but found only small pieces if hails and this "diamond" with frost. -5c and flashlight behind a frozen marjoram flower (I'd remember).

So there is a diamond after all - only in the garden!

Additional note: all fire alarm batteries have been changed.
