Day 2: Gelli-prints

Work in progress- yesterdays attempt at including the church towers  followed by the addition of more colour today - there might be another layer yet.  (I've learnt the art of blotting off some colour today and also that i can't add colour straight from the tube in the way some American artists seem to do.  You Tube is such a useful resource though!)  This is proving a bit trickier than the work I did on the abstract images on Monday.   I'm learning lots, but an awful lot more to learn.

The extra photo is one of my other versions from yesterday.  I haven't attempted another layer yet as I'm not too sure what I want to achieve.  I've printed a couple of these images out onto 6 X 4 gloss paper and they definitely come up better than the original print.

We met my brother at Cannon Hall  for lunch - all a bit hectic but he managed to find a table for us and we didn't have to wait too long to be served.  And we actually had a walk down to the small lake - Ann's first walk for several months.   It was feeling a little bit fresh in the wind but it's been a decent day.  Let's hope that the rain forecast for tonight doesn't create too many more problems for people.  It's been such a tragedy for so many people this year.
