A little cottage

I have kept this homemade piece of pottery at work for the past 35 years or so. I was given it as a gift from a grateful student who had had such an awful time whilst studying, which I will not repeat here, but I had supported her through it. She had started a pottery class and gave me this as a thank you.

It has adorned my office ever since but now I have brought it home to my study. So here it is. The detail on it is great. I often wonder what she might be doing now maybe looking toward retirement? Who knows people passing by on their life journey.
