Stitch n bitch

Mr A is off for 6 days now, so we get to have some quality time together. Unusually, we don't have any activities planned, so we are going to make the most of doing absolutely nothing!

Today, we stayed in bed until noon, then ventured into town to our favourite cafe for a leisurely lunch.

While we were there, we saw this group of ladies, all busy with various needlecrafts and having a good old natter at the same time. What a great way to spend an afternoon with your pals.

Tonight, we are off to Laura's; I'm booked in for a treat at the salon then we are having takeaway and no doubt we will put the world to rights too ;-)

Yesterday, I received a comment from a fellow blipper that left me feeling rather annoyed to say the least.
Whilst I appreciate the dedication and passion of some people to try and keep Blip going, I don't appreciate being told how to spend my money. I know this comment was posted with the best of intentions and without malice, but I really didn't like it; especially since I've never interacted with this person before.

I'd love to see Blipfuture do well, but I'm sceptical about how this is going to be achieved and how it will be funded in future. Bearing in mind how many people bought lifetime memberships to try and add to the coffers and how many paid for the 365 books; both of which are now defunct (which I realise are faults of the old Blip management), I just wonder how many times people are going to be asked to fork out money if/when the Blipfuture team take over.
I've read their statements and think it's a good idea in principle, but I don't hold with the idea of asking people outside of Blip for money, or with random posts telling me how good I'd feel if pledged money to the cause.
Sorry for the rant and cynicism, but it's how that comment made me feel.
