4th July memories

26 years ago today, I was in New York with a friend from college. We were about to spend the summer working and then travelling by Greyhound across the States to the West coast. It was fabulous, we learnt a lot, met amazing, generous people and laid down memories which will stay with us till our dotage.
Today, this dear college friend and I met up at Fountains Abbey, she brought her photo albums and some letters I had written. As they say in The States, we had a blast. Such happy memories.

And Murray manages to get to the semis, the physicists have found the 'god particle' and the sunset was fabulous. Can't ask for more from a day!
