More Jollifications!
I was just in time to catch this blip of the cheese board before the Brie escaped over the grapes to the worktop. That's the trouble with Brie, it either does the Houdini act, or it stays firm and unattractive. I can never tell in advance what it's intention is going to be.
It's a soup, sandwich and cheese board lunch for three of our old (as in long standing )cycling friends.
We have somewhat lost touch with the people we used to cycle with twice a week, but we have so many shared memories of pelotons and drum ups in unlikely spots, not to mention muddy, scary tracks often included in a ride by one of our leaders,(you know who you are, Mr Peter Martin!), that it will be wonderful to catch up on news.
The sun is shining and low enough in the sky to flood through the windows and highlight every dust mote dancing in its rays, not to mention the ones that are resting on any flat surface. Hopefully our visitors will be smitten enough by the view beyond the windows of the Meadows bathed in golden sunshine and miss the dust inside.
The table is set, the wine is chilling, the soup is ready to be heated through, all the preparations are in place, so bring it on!
