Piwakawaka in a Rimu tree

Finished sweeping the leaves off the deck this morning. Then more rest and reading, until we left to return to the city. After lunch I went to Western Springs Lake, and walked along the bank of Motions Creek, where I saw a number of piwakawaka (fantails) darting around in and under a young Rimu tree.

This evening S and I went with our daughters to see the new Star Wars movie. Massive use of archetypes, especially heroes and villains. Afterwards we went to Ponsonby Central where there is a Neapolitan pizza restaurant. A lovely evening.
