New cat toy?

I got Pete this rather nice bird feeding station for his birthday, and this afternoon we set it up in the front garden, so that we could view it from the lounge. I hope it doesn't just turn out to be a new cat toy! Although I have never witnessed Magnus or Flint ever hunt anything.
