The Ladies

Today I picked up one of my mother's old friends to drive 1 hour and 45 minutes to visit another old friend. These two women are like surrogate aunts to me and I've known them about 30 years. They are one of the key reasons I come back to my hometown.

I was concerned that they are getting on in years (84 and 94 years old respectively) but I found them in better health than me, and I'm pretty healthy.

Having said that, I think I've forgotten how to sleep.
