Uley

This is taken from the top of Uley Bury, an ancient hill fort overlooking the Severn Vale. You can see the River Severn in the distance. Below Uley Bury is Uley village where Uley brewery turn out excellent beers and ales. A couple of pints of Pig's Ear made the not inconsiderable walk up the side of the hill fort a lot easier, or at least made the mad muddy slip-slide back down not so painful... Remarkable how sunny it was, and how at the fag end of the year it still feels more like early November. It's going to be messy when winter finally arrives...
