Princes Street, Edinburgh

Woo hoo!  First day of the Christmas holidays - probably my favourite holidays of the year.

Drove to Edinburgh Park, then took train in to Waverley for a walk around the Christmas market.  We both thought we had dressed warmly, but had forgotten that the east is significantly colder than then west!!!  I ended up buying a hat.

Loved the skating scene but the queues were prohibitively long.  

Also had a walk up to the old town and enjoyed a seasonal Starbies eggnog latte - first of the festive season - I know - what took me so long this year?!  I think I had saved enough calories for today's treat!!!
Unfortunately we had hope to see the Street of Light but we were too early and had to get back for MP.  Maybe another time.

Lovely day spent getting in the festive mood.
