the excitement could be felt...

Absolutely love Christmas Eve and all the anticipation of the time to be spent together...the children feel the same way, although of course their great excitement regarding the surprises to be discovered early the next morning are not lost on me!

So Sienna was 'ready' for bed at 4pm! Reluctantly stayed up until 8pm, awoke at midnight in tears as she was worried that maybe she hadn't been as 'good' as she could have been...reassured by me that all was OK (although I never use the good/bad slant on Christmas), she then awoke at 1.30am and then again at 2.30am to joyfully announce that 'he' had arrived and that all was well!

Come 8.40am the teenagers could be heard excitedly opening stockings whilst the youngest slept on and on!
