Supertides!

I have never seen the sea so full of water at Cullercoats! The waves were crashing over the harbour wall with some force. It was amazing to watch. The sun finally shone - a beautiful day of clear blue skies :-) Perfect for strolling by the coast. 

The water has largely subsided in the areas impacted by flooding in the Calder Valley...but the water has revealed scenes of absolute devastation. I am now back home in Yorkshire...and it is still raining...
