River Aire floods

Only just made it down in time for Sunday lunch! Not sleeping very well but at least I'm resting. 

A lovely sunny afternoon so we decided to get some fresh air and go for a walk at Kirkstall Abbey and view the flooded river. Went through town and got caught by one of the road closures due to the floods. We then ended up on the wrong side of the river, with many crossings closed, so we went the long way round in order to get back to the Abbey. 

This is the abbey grounds, river Aire and rugby pitches all as one and the current was very strong.
