Tattoos of the Maori Tribe in New Zealand

In art I have been given a new project which lasts till the end of january next year, so because of the time length we are suggested to choose something we find interesting. Obviously.

The overall project is named 'Structures' and i have chosen to expand on the idea of of the human form. My individual title is 'How people perceive beauty'. Don't worry I'm not going down the root of surgery and makeup... well sort of.

I'm researching into tribal beauty and women in tribes (see above photo.) to why they take drastic changes to there skin and face. Also, I'm appling to the 1st world countries as well, I'm using tattoos, piercings and implants. Body modification can give a massive insight into what people think is beauty and why. I've opened doors.
