Water under the bridge

I have had a very long day. I had an eleven and a half hour shift, but I was looking forward to it. A new route for me, with no Edinburgh or Berwick, just a day tootling between Hawick, Jedburgh and Kelso. Unfortunately, at some point before I started, the police closed the road between Jed and Hawick due to floods and it stayed closed all day. In the end, I did three runs to Kelso and quite a lot of sitting about.

On a positive note, I got more of the Times crossword completed than I have done for months and I polished off all the Sudokus. I took this shot of the river Teviot, near Ancrum, in the morning, it rose further during the afternoon.
