Hot spray

Up at 6.30 this morning and in the vineyard by 7.00. We were trying to beat the heat, but the vines (and wildflowers) have grown so high that we were still there until 13.00. Boy was it hot - and tough on the feet and legs as we battled over uneven, rocky soil.

Rain is forecast for tomorrow so we'll do the other half of the vineyard on Friday morning. Meanwhile we have very patchy agricultural tans. Chestnut in parts, milky white in others. We won't be strolling round in swimming gear in public any time soon.
