Karkali Nature Reserve

We visited Karkali nature reserve today. There is nice lehtometsä, couldn't find any English word for that but it's a forest that exist in Finland only in south and not much even there. It consist mostly of other than evergreen trees which are more common here up north.

Anyways what comes to photography it was not a very specific experience. It seldom is in the midlle of the day in the middle of the summer. This is pratically the only picture I took.

Birdwise it was a bit better. Saw osprey and wren. If I counted I would have two new points for this year. But I don't count. It's just nice to see species you don't see everyday at home. By the way, does anybody now what is the English word for bongaus i.e. counting how many species you see a year.
