A lovely gift

We left Les Menuires in the dark and got back in the dark, so this is my only picture today.

We were up at 4.45 am for the bus to Geneva, where our flight had a delay. We arrived in Manchester and had the 3 and a half hour drive back in rain and fog, arriving home 5.45pm, a journey of over 12 hours.

The water is pouring off the hill through our garden. We know the river here has burst its banks as a friend has posted pictures of her riverside house with water creeping up the walls. It has been a horrendous Christmas for people in the north being flooded.
