*. Not Christmas

Christmas is over and it was very enjoyable.
But the rain is not over. It has never stopped all day.
Outside photography almost impossible and needed an umbrella to go twenty yards to the alpine house.

This is Raoulia. Named after Edouard Raoul, a French naval surgeon (1815 - 1852) who collected plants in New Zealand. In the wild it spreads over rocks especially in the mountains of the South Island.

Here it cannot be grown outside because it hates a combination of cold and water from above. In the Alpine house it can draw up water from the sandbed in which its pot is sunk.
