Peanuts Roasting on an Open Fire
Peanuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos

Everybody knows peanuts and some
Mistletoe help to make the season bright
Tiny squirrels with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight

They know that Santa’s on his way
He's loaded lots of peanuts and goodies
On his sleigh
And every mother
Squirrel is gonna spy to see if
Reindeer really know how to fly

And so, I'm offering this
Simple phrase to squirrels from
One to ninety-two
Altho' it's been said many times
Many ways
“Merry Squirrel Blip Christmas to you”

Christmas day has been very mild once again once the presents had been unwrapped and the turkey put in the oven I got out for my walk around the lake, I bought lots of peanuts and seed for the squirrels and birds. I found that some trees were going into bud and found some tulip bulbs sprouting new green shoots. I posted several shots on my Flickr Page
