Merry Christmas - yes!
What a surprise, everything seems to have turned out well. The turkey ( and vegetarian option ) were calmly and efficiently prepared. The wine was chilled and the meal enjoyed. The Queen had her say! All the presents were well selected and well received. Handel's Messiah performed (not by us but from Barcelona via Medici.tv). Neighbours called in with presents ( very well received!) Relatives were spoken to on that old fashioned telephone thing. Dad was even still hungry at teatime - Mum managed a little something later :-)
I got David 'Bumble' Lloyd's autobiography to read - a good choice from my sister.
My new jumper fits :-)
We all enjoyed Chris Packhams's World's Sneakiest Animals ( despite the title)
Downton Abbey was watched and everyone went ah! - isn't Edith lovely
No one was ill and everybody had more cake!
This may never have happened before in our house before (well not all of it in one Christmas Day)
p.s Note to ITV why did you not save Downton Abbey for New Year's Eve ( not much of a spoiler for anyone but the story ends then). There is never anything to watch on New Years Eve other than Jools
on BBC and I see you (ITV) have opted for repeat followed by repeat followed by repeat followed by New Year Bongs.
