Traditions

Growing up I was aware that some people did Christmas differently - but in the families I knew it was roughly the same - then I met my (now) wife's family - who opened presents late in the evening after supper - hmmmm, odd. Nowadays we compromise - and open them as soon as we're awake!!! My inner child is quite hard to argue with.

Obviously as we all grow older we continue, adapt & create traditions that slowly become our own way of doing things. Today we took my lovely 87yr old Mother-in-Law out for Christmas Lunch, something that over the last twenty or so years has become our tradition & now seems the norm. This is our second 'last christmas' with Mollie -  but she continues to confound the doctors - and whilst it does add an air of poignancy fortunately there's also a lot of laughing & happy tales told.
