Christmas Anchor Handling, day 2

Deepwater anchor handling is very time consuming. It takes us about 10 hours to deploy one anchor. That's mainly because of the enormous amounts of anchor wire the Hermod is using. Every anchor is approximately 4400 meters away of the Hermod. And we're talking about 11 anchors to be deployed. It will take at least another 30 hours before the Bylgia and Kolga are done with them. On this picture you'll see the so-called Stevpris anchor, and also the big bell chaser is seen clearly around the shank of the anchor just behind the anchor shackle.
