Yes, we’re watching that film
again. You know the one. Things
are looking bleak  towards the end
- the Bailey Brothers
Building & Loan Association
(overseen by George Bailey
who once saved his younger brother’s life)
which has done so much
for so many
is about to go under
and that evil Mr Potter
is already rubbing his hands
in anticipation of taking advantage
of the situation
and increasing his own wealth
and power…

but then
all the good folk
step forward
to save the day
by giving
what they can.

I wonder if that could happen
in real life?
