Yellow Eyed Penguin

A Yellow Eyed Penguin has been hanging out at Back Beach the last couple of days. This is quite unusual so I phoned the Department of Conservation but apparently all is well.
Made me feel better about subjecting the poor thing to ten minutes of me faffing around with 'f' stops.
Little known fact. Penguin is supposedly Welsh for "white head." No, penguins are not endemic to Wales but were encountered by Welsh sailors under Drake during his circumnavigation of 1577-1580. Good eating apparently.
