Bach Rehearsal

This, for me, is the start of Christmas.  Chiltern Chamber Choir always has its Christmas Concert on 23rd December and it's usually a 'crowd puller' and a good sing; this year we performed Bach's Christmas Oratorio.  We have sung the work before and most of us know it quite well but there is always the challenge of achieving a really great performance.  Our conductor is a fantastic musician and was inspirational in his leadership this evening - we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and, I think, did an excellent performance. Bach is such a jolly composer to sing - wonderful musicianship and excellent lines - often nowhere to breathe but that's a minor consideration!!

I am just back from the performance and after concert party - it was tempting to not post a blip but....... it just has to be done.
