The lavender mob!

The flock of goldfinches that frequents our garden suddenly discovered the lavender seed heads in one of our tubs. About ten birds descended in a noisy orgy and got to work. They were never still and despite taking quite a lot of photos this was about the only one where a bird was more or less in focus! At least one lesser redpoll has been coming to our feeders as well, so I'm hoping it will bring its friends and we'll have a regular visiting group, like 2012/13 and 2013/14 (there were no sightings last winter).
