Scraps...

of feathers ! That's all these Longtailed tits are! Hardly any body size at all! Today they were cold , wet and hungry as they flocked through the garden. The weather, much colder, alternated between heavy sleet and sun. The tops are covered in snow from about 300m.
There is a blue sky tonight and we all hope for a dry evening as it is the Torchlight procession through the village, led by reindeer from Cairngorm and the local pipe band. Could have waited to blip this but straight after we will go to a friend's house for sloe gin and it may be too late to blip for today!
