The Spiritual gift of JOY.

If your house has been flooded, as have many, in the area of Cumbria, I can not imagine how they are going to face the normal expectations that we ordinary people have for celebration as Christmas nears.
It is too sad for words.
Yet inspite of the many sufferings and hardships, in many parts of the Earth, our faith in Jesus, and the consolation we have in the Salvation we have through Him, is always there, in happy times and in disasters.
Joy is one of the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit.
Our inner joy is free to experience and it can be shared to uplift the spirits of those around us.
Whilst needing comedy and wit and generated mirrors of mirth and light hearted fun at this time of year, I am seriously not revelling in joy as many are suffering around me.
I am still strongly opposed to the very audacity the idea of fracking suggests.
Poisoning our water system is seriously a bad idea.
I hope we pool what good ideas we have for safe and sensible renewable energy before it is too late.
Bless all those who keep this festive of Christ's birth sacred and holy, and understand how relevant being born again of The Spirit is, at this time on Earth.
